Hey, I'm Emmanuel
I'm a frontend developer from Nigeria, known online and in creative circles as BlackSILV. I build web experiences that are fast, beautiful, and purposeful — the kind that people actually enjoy using.
I started coding out of curiosity and stayed because of the power it gives — the ability to take an idea from your head and put it in front of thousands of people with nothing but a browser. That still amazes me.
I'm currently a 100-level Electrical & Electronic Engineering student at the University of Uyo, which means I'm building at the intersection of software and hardware — and that gives me a different perspective from most frontend devs.
When I'm not coding, I'm sketching out technical drawings, learning something new, or thinking about the next wave to make. I believe technology should solve real problems, and I try to build with that in mind every single day.
My Journey
First line of code
Started with HTML & CSS — built my first webpage and got hooked immediately. The feedback loop of write → see → improve was addictive.
JavaScript & real interactivity
Added JS to the toolkit. Built my first interactive projects — things that actually responded to users. WAVE-X came out of this phase.
React & building platforms
Learned React and started building more complex products — the UNIUYO portal, EemmPaTech-Empire, and the currency converter.
Building DC & making waves
Currently working on DC — an AI-powered document creation app. Freelancing, building, learning, and pushing further every week.
